North East Maritime Offshore Cluster (NEMOC) was established initially in 1997 as a cluster of local contractors and suppliers able undertake marine related engineering and construction work centred around the Swan Hunter shipyard in Wallsend, forming a strong marine related construction and service sector in the North East.
For several years the cluster was successful in providing a range of services on both commercial and naval ship conversion and construction projects including vessels for the offshore oil & gas industry and the Ministry of Defence.
NEMOC LIMITED now provides all these services under the auspices of a single contracting organisation operating out of the Swan Hunter Shipyard in Wallsend, providing clients with experienced and wide ranging support possibilities for all their marine related engineering and construction support requirements.
