Office Accommodation (Rental Units)
NEMOC operates out of the large former Swan
Hunter office facility at Wallsend, comprising of
over 50,000 square feet of floor space located
over 5 floors in a riverside setting. Not requiring
all the available floor space ourselves we are
able to offer fully serviced self contained office
accommodation subdivided into units from
approx. 2,500 sq. ft. to over 6,500 sq. ft.
Located only minutes from the Wallsend Metro
station and Wallsend High Street, the facilities
provide ample parking spaces and include full
service support such as security, heating, lighting, etc. and can extend to include computer networking possibilities if required. Please contact us for further information regarding availability and cost.

Decommissioning
NEMOC personnel have been involved in the
decommissioning of offshore platforms
and structures since 1996 when they were
involved in the decommissioning and disposal
of several jackets, bridges and decks on the
Conoco Viking A project at Wallsend. The
project was undertaken with due regard for all
safety and environmental aspects associated
with such a scope and achieved a level of 99%
for recycling or reuse of the platforms.
Components for decommissioning, weighing
over 9,500 tons in total, were lifted onto sea-going cargo barges offshore by a large crane vessel, seafastened and transported
to land, then offloaded onto the heavy duty quayside at Wallsend using our own
wheeled trolley systems. The units were then taken to a bunded area for professional
decontamination, dismantling and reclamation.
The yard has all the relevant licenses, procedures and working methods for the safe
and environmentally friendly dismantling of offshore structures and ship dismantling
projects.
