NEMOC operates out of the old Swan Hunter Wallsend shipyard located on the North
bank of the river Tyne. The yard covers an area of 40 acres and incorporates spacious
outside erection areas, a specially built tidal basin, a heavy duty loadout quay for
structures of up to 10,000 tons in weight and boasts an impressive river frontage of
over 800 metres providing simultaneous berthing for several vessels at any one time.
A fabrication hall is available for construction of offshore structures and marine
equipment or to provide undercover storage for same. NEMOC also owns and
operates several heavy duty load-out trailers for moving equipment or structures of up
to 600 tons, enabling large structures to be transported to the quayside for offloading
onto seagoing vessels.
